Basic Requirements for Hotel Bars

All Tourist Bungalows and Hotels maintained by the Rajasthan Government’s Department of Tourism and Hotel Corporation, as well as the Government of India, are referred to as hotels. The Government of India will need to obtain a bar license for any hotel with at least twenty guestrooms that are deemed to be at least two-star by the Tourism Department.

Basic Requirements for Standard Restaurant Bars

Basic Requirements for a Commercial Club Bar

A fully registered company or enterprise, any organization or association of persons for business and recreational purposes with at least a hundred members, is referred to as a commercial club bar. The commercial bar should have the following features in order to operate:

Rajasthan Bar License Eligibility Criteria

A Rajasthan bar license can be applied for by anyone from rajexcise.gov.in who owns and operates a club, hotel, or restaurant as stated above. The following people will not be granted a bar license:

• A person who has been convicted of a crime under the Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950, or the Opium Act, 1878, is ineligible to seek for a bar license:
• If there are any outstanding excise dues against a person who owns and operates a hotel/club/restaurant, that person is ineligible to obtain a bar license.
• If a person is found to have been convicted by a criminal court of any non-bailable offence, he or she will not be granted a Rajasthan bar license.
• A Rajasthan bar license will not be issued to anyone under the age of 18.

Payment of Fees

To apply for a hotel bar, club bar, or restaurant bar license, the applicant must pay the initial license fee as well as any other fees that may be required.

A non-refundable process fee equal to 10% of the usual initial price or Rs. 10,000, whichever is higher, shall be attached to every application for a Hotel Bar license site visit.

• To obtain a bar license in Rajasthan, a person must first submit an application form in the prescribed format to the District Excise Officer in whose jurisdiction the bar is scheduled to be run.
• The following is the format for an application for a restaurant bar license:

• Verification by DEO: The District Excise Officer in charge will initial the application, noting the date of receipt and the reason for the application, which will be filed in a prescribed format in a register. The applicant will be notified of the application by the DEO.
• Payment:If the application is accepted by the District Excise Officer, the applicant must pay within fifteen days of receiving notification.
• The application fee and process fee must be deposited in the Rajasthan State Treasury, and a challan copy supplied by the Treasury must be enclosed.
• Site Verification:Following receipt of the application, a team of Rajasthan State Excise Department officers chosen by the District Excise Officer will perform document verification and site inspection.
• The crew will inspect the site of the foreign liquor storage facility as well as the counters where it will be sold.
• The application will be forwarded to the Excise Commissioner by the District Excise Officer, along with his or her recommendation.

Note: The DEO will also make a note if the applicant has any of the disabilities required to obtain a Rajasthan drug license.

• Verification by Excise Commissioner: The Excise Commissioner will double-check the DEO’s records and recommendations. A Rajasthan bar license may be issued if the requirements are met.

Note: If the application is rejected, the applicant must submit a new application, following the same method as mentioned above, and meeting all of the requirements.

• Obtain Rajasthan Drug License: A drug license in Rajasthan can be obtained from the relevant Exercise Department office. Get your Rajasthan drug license by providing your application number.

Occasional Bar License means Bar licenses that can be granted for the sale or possession (beyond the permissible limits) of IMFL or beer on special occasions like birthdays, weddings, and New Year’s Eve. There are two types of such licenses, which are as follows:

Rajasthan drug licenses must be renewed not less than thirty days and not more than ninety days before the license’s expiration date. The applicant must submit an application for bar license renewal in the prescribed format to the appropriate DEO. Failure to renew the license within the time limit may result in the loss of insurance coverage and appropriate legal action by the Rajasthan Government, Excise Department, or any other concerned body. How to Apply FOR DISTILLERY/BREWERY/BOTTLING LICENSE PLANT

In order to apply for DISTILLERY/BREWERY/BOTTLING LICENSE PLANT, follow the steps below:

• First of all go to the official website of Integrated Excise Management System i.e rajexcise.gov.in
• A home page will appear as shown below.
• On the right side of the screen click on ‘Apply for new Distillery/Brewery/Bottling License’.
• Now on the new page, click on Apply Online option.

• On the next page enter the following details:

• Click on get OTP and click on close option.

• Now click on Track Application option.

• Pay fee online/ Generate E- Grass Challan and save as a draft.

• Now fill the form and click on ‘Submit it to Excise Department’.
